Everything cream cheese stuffed chicken with spinach, scallions and everything bagel seasoning is a quick dinner the family will love.  Bake them in the oven or in your air fryer!

Isn’t it crazy how all these years we’ve only used that delicious “everything” seasoning on bagels?!

I’m glad someone had a light bulb go off when they decided to bottle it as seasoning so us foodies could use it on chicken, fish, veggies, even fries!

This simple cream cheese stuffed chicken uses chicken breasts that are coated in everything-seasoned panko, stuffed with a spinach, scallion and cream cheese filling, then baked until golden.

Talk about a quick and simple dinner!

I know the everything seasoning has been around for a bit, and I’m not sure what took me so long to discover it, but man I’m glad I did.

I keep a jar with my other spices at all times.  It’s one of my pantry staples that I can use on anything if I’m in a pinch and need some good flavor :).

This everything cream cheese stuffed chicken is not only quick and easy to make but it’s got a ton of flavor and the spinach adds a hidden vegetable for those picky eaters 😉

Baked panko crusted chicken breast that's got everything bagel seasoning sprinkled on it. There's seasoning sprinkled on to the plate with green sliced scallions

Baked everything chicken ingredients:

  • cream cheese
  • scallions
  • “everything bagel” seasoning
  • spinach
  • chicken breasts, thin sliced
  • pepper
  • panko bread crumbs
  • egg
  • olive oil

You can find the everything bagel seasoning at pretty much any market these days.  I’ve found it at both Trader Joe’s and Aldi.

You can also easily make your own everything but the bagel seasoning too!  Try this easy homemade everything seasoning from Two Peas and Their Pod.

I find there to be a good amount of salt in the seasoning which is why I do not add any to the recipe.  Seasoning brands may vary so if you feel salt needs to be added, by all means do so!

The left picture shows raw chicken breasts with a cream cheese filling spread onto it. There's a small dish of scallions and another dish of panko in the background. The right picture shows the panko coated chicken that's been rolled and secured with a toothpick

How to make everything cream cheese stuffed chicken:

  1. Cook spinach in saute pan until wilted.  Drain excess water.
  2. In small bowl combine cream cheese, spinach, scallions and 2 teaspoons of the everything bagel seasoning.  Set aside.
  3. In another small bowl combine panko, 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning and black pepper.
  4. In a third shallow dish beat the egg.
  5. Pound chicken until about 1/4″ thin.  Evenly spread cream cheese mixture onto each piece of chicken.  Roll the chicken up and secure with a toothpick.
  6. Dip each piece of chicken in the egg then in the panko mixture.  Press down firmly to ensure it sticks.
  7. Place coated chicken on baking sheet.  Drizzle tops with olive oil and bake until golden and chicken temperature reaches 165 F.

I like to use my broiler setting for the last minute or two until the outside of the chicken is golden brown and crispy!

To make everything chicken with cream cheese in the air fryer:

Follow recipe instructions and instead of baking in the oven, place the stuffed chicken in your air fryer at 375 F for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and outside is golden. (cooking times may vary based on your air fryer).

What to serve with everything bagel chicken?

  • roasted broccoli
  • baked sweet potato
  • brow butter quinoa
  • rice pilaf
  • blistered green beans

  6. Dip rolled chicken first in the egg, letting the excess drip off, then in the panko mixture pressing firmly to ensure the coating sticks. Place coated chicken on baking sheet, toothpick side down. Repeat with remaining chicken.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until outside is golden and chicken reads 165 F internally. (To ensure chicken is extra golden and crispy I like to place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes.)
